BIOGRAPHY
I am a PhD graduate of the laboratory of Entomology, Wageningen University and Research (WUR), the Netherlands. My training and professional experience (work/research/teaching) cover the broad areas of applied medical entomology and medical parasitology. I have a strong track record in the area of tropical vector borne infectious diseases research. I have published several scientific articles in peer reviewed international journals, largely using Anopheles and Plasmodium as experimental organisms and the entomopathogenic fungus as a possible, natural malaria vector control tool. I am a lecturer and head of the Department, Biological and Agricultural sciences at Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU) Kenya, with over ten years’ experience in malaria-related research from the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE), Kenya, and a reviewer of manuscripts in renowned scientific journals. I have years of experience as a chairperson of other university sections namely, Occupational Safety and Health committee, HIV/AIDs Prevention committee and the Medical Advisory board. I am also an ACAL certified internal auditor as well as a member of the Board of graduate studies, representing the university senate. I am a highly motivated, dynamic, ambitious, creative, hardworking, trustworthy, reliable and a results-driven person. I have good analytical and writing skills, with ability to prioritize multiple assignments. I work independently and as a team player, with the ability to excel in a highly competitive environment. I also have the ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial internal and external relationships
